Ecological and Human Health Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals Contamination of Soil in E-Waste Dumpsite in Atan, Ogun State, Nigeria

Environmental problem tends to be growing globally especially in developing countries due the advancement technology via indiscriminate disposal of electronic wastes, this has continued pose serious threat human health. The present study aimed at determining level heavy metals e-waste dumpsite and evaluates ecological health risk soil contaminated with Atan dumpsite. results analysis revealed that concentrations Cd ranged from 64.20 207.99 mg/kg, Cr; 414.83 470.47 Pb; 1036.89 to7362.36 Cu; 2963.8 3993.78 As 149.12 250.03 Zn; 21034.74 25119.61 mg/kg. mean occurred order of; Zn > Pb Cu Cr Cd. had highest concentration 2098.45 mg/kg while lowest concentration, values all determined were higher than control tolerable limits recommended by World Health Organization. index e-wastes indicated a high risk. Hence, around Atan, Ogun State whilst urgent measures are required.
